In the summer of 2005, a group of Cabrillo Alumni and Staff met to share

ideas about creating an alumni association to honor notable alumni and staff who have attended or worked at Cabrillo High School. The first Hall-of-Fame Induction Dinner was held in 2006 honoring Evert Jones (Cabrillo’s First Head Football Coach) as our first inductee.

Since that time, we have had a total of 34 outstanding inductees into the

CHS Alumni Hall-of-Fame (4 groups/teams, 22 alumni and 18 honored staff). The Hall-of-Fame is open to all graduates who have achieved honors in academics, activities, athletics and/or performing arts at CHS. In addition, they have achieved extraordinary success in their career field and have contributed in a positive way to their community. Staff members can be recognized for their contribution and impact to the students at CHS. Groups or Teams may be recognized for bringing local, state and national recognition to Cabrillo High School.

Annually, members of the CHS Alumni Association nominate potential candidates f

or the next HOF class. The list of nominees is then sent to the HOF selection committee for final vote. In March of each year, the new HOF Induction Class is announced and our annual Hall-of-Fame Induction Dinner is held in early August. Over the past years, this dinner has become a very successful event and many times is held during a class or multi-class reunion weekend.
